Let’s welcome in the Year of the Metal Ox with Chef Devon Sanner in a fun cook along class with one ingredients kit (serves 2) to make two authentic dishes – Yusheng and Jiaozi. The message for 2021 is: Success will come to those who work hard.

Included with your registration is one food kit containing all the ingredients to make Jiaozi (Chinese Potstickers) and Yu Sheng Prosperity Salad except salt, pepper and cooking oil. If you need more than one kit, they're available for $10 each.

Yusheng, a prosperity salad, started in the Chinese communities in Malaysia and SingaporeOnce the dish is ready, everyone joins in to toss the Yusheng with their chopsticks!  Jiaozi, a Chinese dumpling you may know as potstickers, is must-eat New Year food. They symbolize longevity and wealth as their shape resembles gold shoe-shaped ingots, an early form of Chinese currency.

Since the class involves using heat, pots/pans, tools, etc., adult supervision and involvement is necessary. Only you can determine the appropriate level of supervision and assistance your child needs. Our class for ages 8-12 assumes a mix of parent participation and close supervision. Please make sure your child wears an apron and closed toe shoes.
